What We Do
Four core programme areas, thousands of lives changed — discover how ATMA Foundation creates lasting social impact.
Care & Protection of Vulnerable Groups
This programme focuses on the safety, shelter and holistic development of children and adults who are in vulnerable situations — including abandoned children, girls at risk, children in conflict with the law, and isolated senior citizens.
ATMA Foundation runs the ATMA Gurukulam Girls' Home, a residential facility providing safe shelter, quality education and life skills training to girls who have survived trauma, neglect or homelessness. Currently, 89 girls are supported through this programme.
Our Railway Child Help Desk — operating at Thrissur Railway Station in partnership with the Railway Protection Force — has identified, assisted and reunited over 1,116 children with their families or placed them in appropriate care. This is one of the most successful child protection initiatives in the state.

Our Individual Development Programmes have empowered over 1,10,000 children and youth through personality development camps, career guidance sessions, leadership workshops and mental health awareness programmes.
We also invest heavily in teacher and parent training — recognising that the adults in a child's life are the most important factor in their development. 12,200 teachers have been trained and 47,600 parents reached through our parenting awareness programmes.
Support EducationHealth & Wellness
ATMA Foundation takes a holistic view of health — encompassing physical wellness, mental health, emotional well-being and healthy family relationships. Our health programmes are designed to be accessible, community-based and free for those who cannot afford services.
Our Free Counselling Programme has reached over 3,100 families across Thrissur and neighbouring districts. Professional counsellors work with individuals and families on issues including stress, trauma, marital conflicts, adolescent challenges and grief.

Following the major Kerala floods and subsequent disasters, our rapid-response teams have delivered relief and rehabilitation to over 8,000 families across 50 villages — providing food, medicines, essential supplies and long-term resettlement support.
Our Digital and Financial Empowerment Training has equipped 5,000+ rural residents with skills in smartphone usage, online banking, government scheme access and basic financial planning — dramatically improving their economic agency.
🏘️ Upcoming: ATMA Harmony Village
